Project Manager - Client Onboarding - Trade Finance - FS

Purpose: To co-ordinate all Deal Team activities up to the first trade and handover to the business

Accountable for:

  • Creating and managing project plans, including defining necessary work packages, responsibilities and key milestones
  • Creation and management of Project control documentation (RAID logs, Project Plans, Initiation Documents, Requirements Documents)
  • Responsible for the translating of working business requirements into technical specification documents
  • Manage Deal Team expectations on delivery timeframe
  • Coordinating activities during program structuring to Go-live, e.g ensure internal processes are set up, align with Ops to set up systems, ensure distribution strategy is locked-in
  • Sharing updates on deal information internally during Program structuring and set up phase
  • Identification, recording and management of all project risks and issues. Reporting these to the to the business and project specific stakeholders
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders input to Projects and expectations of senior stakeholders and sponsors
  • Serves a lead point of contact for operational and process questions
  • Actively manage client expectations and deliverables
  • Organise internal and external client kick off meeting in order to:
    • Establish client and internal team expectations
    • Build requirements and outline to client
    • Amended project plan shared with client and internally (measurable KPIs) (Internal only version and client facing version)
  • Organise and run internal and external (weekly) update calls to coordinate deal execution
  • Escalate issues and delays in the deal client delivery

Skills, Experience and Abilities

  • Experience of successfully delivering medium to long term projects, ideally within a financial services environment
  • Experience in client facing role
  • Clear understanding of project life cycle
  • Proven experience of managing multiple competing deadlines
  • Excellent Stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
  • Fully literate in MS Office (including Visio) and Project Management Tools (MPP, Smartsheets)

Preferred

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner or Equivalent
