About the Company

A leading company which provides the whole range of the brand's products and solutions across the Southeast Asia and Pacific (APAC) region. The company focuses on promoting Business-to-Business portfolio, such as in the field of energy solutions whilst maintaining solid Business-to-Consumer growth in line with the group's global direction.

It has 45 manufacturing sites which hold as a key hub for the company's global production activities supporting the consumer, solutions and components and devices business. Singapore being the regional headquarter, encourages locally-initiated energy solutions, partnerships and businesses. The Singapore headquarter will continue to promote green innovation and reduce its regional carbon dioxide emissions footprint in support to the company's global eco initiatives.

We are currently looking for qualified candidate for a Product Regulatory & Sustainability Executive role to be part of their Quality & Environment Group.

Selected candidate will:

  • Be responsible for product regulation related activities in APAC to reduce non-compliance cases and other environment activities.
  • Lobby regulators through strong collaboration among internal and external stakeholders to mitigate business risks arising from new regulations.
  • Identify potential compliance risks as business opportunities (i.e. Recycling Business)
  • Reduce non-compliance cases through strengthening of APAC Product Regulation Compliance Managers (PRCM) in each of the company's site activities.
  • Maintain ISO14001 certification of the company
  • Promote company's environmental strategy and activities.

Ideal candidates should be/have:

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Materials Engineering or Equivalent
  • Experience and knowledge of product regulations (especially environment and product recycling)
  • Able to establish close collaboration among internal stakeholders to formulate one company position on product environment regulation, in particular with European Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) law formulation.
  • Take leadership role in external industry association to harmonize industry position and lobby regulators (continuously)
  • Excellent negotiating and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Long term strategic planning skills

1. Plan and execute regional PRCM meeting in each country

2. Training for Sales Company and Factory in APAC, when necessary

3. Strengthen and promote Product Regulation Database

4. Strengthen PRCM network through regular in-country meeting
