Leasing Manager

We are currently working with a well-recognized real estate organization in Singapore in search for an experienced Leasing Manager to champion its retail operations. Amid unprecedented times, this role will see the incumbent have full support from management & subordinates likewise be able to spearhead initiatives whilst working in a cultured environment

The successful candidate will also partake in cross-business/departmental units projects that look at the future and long-term planning of retails operations & shopping malls likewise sit in negotiations, budgeting and resource planning

The other accountabilities would entail the following:

  • Plan and implement tenancy & trade mix for a retail mall
  • Formulate, develop and implement marketing strategies and lease incentives program
  • Prepare annual budget and detailed retail plan with credible forecasts for renewals & vacancies
  • Monitor all terms of current leases including meeting and evaluating suitable prospects/concepts for potentially vacant unit/s;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of retailers, new retail developments
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis
  • Develop strong relationships with a network of retailers and source for new to market concepts
  • Establish good landlord and tenant relations, liaising with authorities on tenancy issues
  • Enforcing tenants' covenants and establish rapport with solicitors
  • Oversee and assist the Leasing team in relation to Tenancy Matters namely correspondences, reporting, tenancy renewals, quality control, tenant compliance, rental payments, handover of premises, recovery of arrears, audit exercises, feedback handling, collating inter-department updates and rolling out customer care events/programs
  • Be the centre point of contact for potential escalations and building rapport with tenants on a regular basis

An ideal candidate profile would have

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a Business Management, Facility, Property, Building Management, Engineering discipline or equivalent
  • At least 8 years of working experience in a similar function, with approximately 3 years of retail leasing experience in a mall or retail environment
  • Knowledge in Building Management Systems and ownership of a CEA license would be desirable
  • Proven experience in supervising staff together and managing a team with a high degree of internal and external communication skills.
  • Demonstrated customer service & problem-solving skills.
  • Independent, resourceful and pride a team collaboration demeanour
