Business Continuity Manager, VP

My client is a global investment bank with an established presence in the APAC region. They are looking for a Business Continuity Manager to be part of the BCM team to ensure effective operational resilience to circumstances.

Essentially this person will drive the Business Continuity Management and Operational Resiliency in APAC. You will work closely with other functions (eg. Technology, business lines and other support functions) to develop and maintain first class recovery strategies.


  • Partner with different business lines on their risk decisions related to Operational Resiliency framework
  • Oversees the alignment of the global BCM policies with the local BCM strategies
  • Lead testing plans on the existing BCM programs to ensure the robust nature in place
  • Deliver effective Quality Assurance program by performing risk-based quality assurance plans in challenging business lines on risk decisions
  • Perform Plan quality review and propose suitable recommendations
  • Train and ensure proper education of BCM across the bank
  • Support execution of Incident Management Protocols within the global governance standards
  • Participate in the incident response activities throughout a realized event lifecycle
  • Maintain Recovery Site Activation Protocol to support incident management process
  • Coordinate BCM reviews, fire drills and incident protocols
  • Provide oversight and guidance for updates for Business Continuity Plans, Call Trees
  • Create and maintain BCM wallet cards, and other procedural documentation
  • Maintain logs of the gaps found during reviews and testing in order to ensure proper course of actions
  • Update risk dashboards for ORM
  • Consolidate Operational Risk incidents
  • Maintain emergency kits and mask inventory for health and safely
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects


  • Degree holder
  • Professional certification in BCM would be ideal
  • Minimum 7 years of BCM experience, preferably in a banking or securities environment
  • Good business knowledge of Capital Markets across the trade lifecycle
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective stakeholder management ability and strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Visio, Adobe and PowerPoint
