For interviews, be genuinely interested in the company and especially the person who is interviewing you. As well as researching the company, research the interviewer(s) beforehand and come armed with lots of questions. Don’t be afraid to get personal by asking the interviewer questions such as what drives and motivates them. It is important to speak confidently about yourself, but equally so, to take interest in other people, especially if you want to build a good working relationship with this person.
Before moving into recruitment, I graduated with a MSC in Finance & Econometrics and worked as a consultant for several years in the Financial Services industry in London. I supported some of the largest European fund managers within the front and middle office, whilst working with all the major fixed income and equity data suppliers.
