Morgan McKinley presents our Quarter 1 APAC Employment Monitor infographic for 2017, which provides data on new professional job availability and on professional job seeker availability in the Financial Services sector. This also includes data on contract (non-permanent) job availability.

APAC Employment Monitor Q1 2017 Highlights:

  • Permanent financial services jobs increased by 20%, quarter-on-quarter, and by 1%. year-on-year.
  • Professionals seeking new jobs increased by 31% quarter-on-quarter and decreased by 10% year-on-year.
  • China: 105% increase in jobs, quarter-on-quarter and 42% increase in candidates, quarter-on-quarter.
  • Hong Kong: 56% increase in jobs, quarter-on-quarter and 35% increase in candidates, quarter-on-quarter.
  • Singapore: 26% increase in jobs, quarter-on-quarter and 34% increase in candidates, quarter-on-quarter.
  • Japan: 13% decrease in jobs, quarter-on-quarter and 48% increase in candidates, quarter-on-quarter.
  • Australia: 1% increase in jobs, quarter-on-quarter and 2% decrease in candidates, quarter-on-quarter.
