Finance Manager, Controlling Department (Consolidation)

Job Description

Our client is a leader in Shipping and Logistics, looking for a Finance Manager, Controlling Department on permanent basis.

"Consolidation Experience is a must"

" Shipping Experience will be highly preferred"

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare consolidated financial statements and statutory information timely and accurately
• Produce monthly, quarterly, yearly and adhoc financial reports timely and accurately
• Perform controlling functions in relation to providing accurate financial results and identifying weaknesses in contracts/systems, if any
• Be up-to-date on relevant accounting standards, in particular the IFRS; and ensure the group accounts complies with the relevant accounting standards and group accounting policy
• Assist to manage tax exposure for the Group and make recommendation to minimize tax liability
• Provide tax advice to other departments when involved in projects, deals, etc.
• Ensure the group organization chart is updated in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain audit schedules and liaise with auditors accordingly
• Ensure efficient accounting/controlling process and procedures
• Ensure the group organization chart is updated in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain and enhance usage of HFM (Consolidation) software
• Manage direct reports and team ensuring team structures and job definitions, targets and objectives, recruitment, appraisals, feedback, training and development and reward allocation are all administered in keeping with company culture and guidelines
• Actively participate in the development of the quality management system and engage in the process for the continuous improvement of departmental procedures

Required:

• CPA qualified and holds a Bachelors degree, preferably in accounting
• Minimum 5 years of commercial accounting and/or audit experience, ideally in a blue chip environment
• Minimum 2 years people management experience
• Experience in consolidation and controlling preferred
• Experience in computerized accounting / ERP systems an advantage
• Strong numerical ability
• Team player
