VP - Credit Derivatives Price Testing Product Control

A global European investment bank is looking for a VP product controller to work in its credit derivatives price testing team.  The candidate will have a minimum of 7 years derivatives product control experience and will be ACA qualified.  You will be responsible for performing price testing for various product types and report on the results and valuations adjustments.  The role represents an excellent opportunity to work in a highly visible team to senior management product control and heads of desks, CFO etc)

• Perform price-testing for a various product types, majority being credit derivative products.
• Analyze and review price-testing results and substantiate pricing relative to market levels, including review of market quotes obtained from external data source.
• Responsible for global reporting of price-testing results and valuation adjustments.
• Communicate with Product Control management the results of price-testing and making recommendations for course of action.
• Take ownership of any issues that arise from the day-to-day and monthly processes with a view to resolving these in an efficient and timely manner.
• Responsible for meeting SOX requirements for price-testing function.
• Implementation of strategic projects, such as key risk management and system enhancements.
• Maintain and improve the control environment.

• Substantial quantitative experience on derivatives; Preference will be given to candidates with valuation, product control or actuarial background.
• Minimum 7 years derivatives product control experience
• Managerial experience
• Experience with MarkIT, FTID and Bloomberg

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering/Mathematics, or related fields
• Postgraduate degree (MFE, FRM) or professional qualification (CFA, ACA, CPA) an advantage but not essential
