Market Data Manager - FX/MMKT - Top Tier Bank

As the MDS data operations manager, you will manage the MDS data operation team. As the project manager, you will lead a team to build this framework, implement, then manage the production support team managing complex operational challenges in maintaining a global 24x7 MDS operation.

The Market Data Manager will be responsible for managing all the stakeholders that use market data within the Bank, liaising both with internal clients, application support and development teams and external vendor teams to ensure that the sourcing, content and data usage is understood. 

You will also be responsible for R&D on technological advancements and keeping abreast of industry trends and standards employed in Market Data.

-Familiarity with Market Data technologies, including feed handlers, contributions and entitlements systems (e.g. RMDS, DACS, Gissing, Bloomberg).

- Solid understanding of Time Series/Tick database service and data contribution system (both internal and external data contribution)

- Familiarity with Reuters dealing and EBS infrastructure and ticker output feeds.

- Solid understanding of Market Data entitlement, permissioning and reporting technologies (e.g. DACS, DART).

- Service Management skills and techniques.

- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team, with strong analytical and diagnostic skills

-Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others.

-Experience in leading technical teams.

-Excellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to communicate with the Business at senior level.

-Excellent ability to prioritise and control activities and deliver results within budgetary and resource constraints.

-Must be able to manage external (vendor) resources.

-Must be flexible in terms of tasks.

-Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

-Experience in working on technical, time critical projects

-Willing to work in shift when needed

-Strong knowledge of FX and MM products

Bachelors degree from a recognized academic institution.
