Job Description
The BI team provides strategic and analytical support to help business drive on revenue, profit and market share growth. The team provides actionable intelligence that allows senior management to better manage the business. This is accomplished by providing tools to capture and analyze information about our customers, suppliers and internal business processes, and provides analysis to management to incorporate into strategic decision making.
The purpose of this role is to work with senior management to support these activities and analysis as well as drive a Business Intelligence strategy in teamwork with the Global BI team.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Work with the BI Development Team within IT as the primary business partner, to deliver BI solutions in support of business needs.
- Work cooperatively with and support VP Global Business Intelligence in order to extend and develop BI tools, processes and methods for the benefit of both client and HQ.
- Develop and create a meaningful reporting and analytics framework to identify business trends, risks, opportunities including process metrics.
- Develop and enhance productivity improvement measurements to help drive business effectiveness and efficiency.
- Prioritize the team's work projects, set, manage and meet project timelines and schedules.
- Provide training, education and support to the business units on SAP/BW (Business Warehouse) and other reporting tools.
- Responsible for building, training, upgrading and managing the performance of regional BI&A team.
- Work with Finance team (FD’s and FC’s) to leverage business intelligence tools in support of the business.
- Work with Global Business Intelligence team to ensure consistency and best practices in Business Intelligence reporting.
- Develop and deploy tools to improve regular and ad-hoc reporting, analysis efficiency and timeliness by exploiting the maximum SAP/BW potentials.
- Ensure all reporting are accurate, meaningful and on-time.
Skills/Experience
- Must have hands-on experience with SAP/BW tool and be able to develop complex queries.
- Must be a strategic visionary as well as a strong “roll-up the sleeve” executor.
- Educational requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Scientific field.
- MBA is preferred.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with multiple constituent groups and develop internal relationships in order to effectively carry out strategy.
- Strong internal customer service skills and orientation is required.
- Ability to negotiate and compromise, yet able to drive tasks to meaningful conclusion.
- Must possess excellent working knowledge and appreciation of reporting and information requirements of operating units.
- Comprehensive knowledge of systems from a user perspective and ability to understand, interpret and summarize large pools of data and their business use required.
- Requires minimum 10 years of progressive responsible experience in financial, operational and systems reporting environment.
Educations/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Scientific field
- MBA preferred.
- Formal SAP/BW training required.
- Prior accounting experience highly desired.
- Bilingual - English and Mandarin.
