Chief Information Officer

Job Description

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will provide technology vision and leadership in the development and implementation of the Group's information technology (IT) program. The CIO will lead in planning and implementing information systems to support the groups current and future business operations and achieve more effective and cost beneficial IT operations.

Responsibilities;

• Responsible for planning, development, evaluation, coordination and management of the information and technology systems for the group. The Organisation is presently implementing a Group Wide SAP system across 15 plants in 8 countries. The Group is poised to grow aggressively through strategic acquisitions and entry into integrated operations. The CIO will need to function as an effective business partner to ensure IT supports the desired future state.
• Responsible for the technology vision and planning process that will regularly evaluate existing technology, information systems, and staffing, research new solutions and technologies and recommend changes. The challenge is to transition the entire Group in a phased manner from almost zero stage of IT functional and staffing concepts to a more IT aware and integrated style of operations and management. This will include the evaluation of current "As Is" and propose a future state "To Be" IT concept
• Provide strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of the information and technology systems for the Group.
• Develop and enforce policy and procedures to ensure the protection of the Group's IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy including implementation of disaster recovery plans and processes.

The Successful Candidate;

• Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with solid experience in manufacturing industry.
• Minimum 10 years experience in senior IT position with multi site responsibility.
• Listed company/ MNC working experience gained from working across multiple countries and/or at a regional level.
• Proven experience in transitioning multi country & multi site companies from non-existing/archaic IT environment to mature state IT environment.

• Experience in controllership, planning, designing, building and/or running IT operations
• Fluency in English, both oral and written. Mandarin language skills are preferred.
• Proven leadership skills in managing people in an international environment.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
