Quality Assurance Analyst - Contract to Permanent (12 Months)

Our client is a well known leading Retail organisation. They are seeking to hire an outstanding Quality Assurance Analyst. The QA Analyst is responsible for the test planning and execution for the QA Department

Your Responsibilities will include;

• Responsible for test planning and execution
• Study and understand user requirements and design specifications including business rules, data definitions, system functions and processes
• Verify and validate applications meet functional and non-functional requirements as specified by the users
• Develop test strategy and plan
• Perform testing of business applications - includes system and integration testing, functional and performance testing
• Design and develop test scenarios, cases and test scripts for testing applications
• Plan and create test data for testing
• Defect Management - logging and tracking of defects to resolution
• Interact, coordinate and collaborate with different groups (business support, applications and users) in test planning, execution and defect resolution
• Understand and use relevant tools for test planning, execution and defect tracking
• Plan and coordinate User Acceptance Testing and user training

The Successful candidate;

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related areas
• 3 - 5 years experience in system testing
• At least 1 or 2 years experience in customer/user facing roles such as UAT, system training
• Knowledge and experience in data validation using SQL (Query)
• Knowledge in testing business applications (financial, retail, inventory, sales, etc)
• Experience in using tools for test planning, management and defect tracking
• Knowledge and experience of application design and development is desirable
• Strong background in system testing and an awareness of testing methods and tools
• Strong analytical, communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills
• Experience in working in a multi-national, multi-cultural and multi-location environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical groups
• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
