What is Contracting?

In simple terms, contract work is a period of non-fixed term employment where a position can last from one day to several months, sometimes longer and you are typically paid on a pre-agreed hourly/daily rate basis. Contracting spans all industry sectors and can sometimes be as simple as covering for an absent employee through to the challenges of large scale transformational projects.
