Job Description: 

Tier 1
Investment bank has an exciting opening for a Project Manager within the
Product control function supporting the strategic re-engineering program.

 

You will be
involved in the full-cycle of numerous ongoing projects to enhance efficiency,
data quality and control.

 

In the role
you will:

  • Be part of all phases of the
    projects - conceptualization, initiation, requirement gathering, design,
    build, test & implementation.
  • Search out opportunities to standardize
    requirements, data sourcing & functional design, creating your own
    book of work.
  • Assist with the definition of
    future operating model; test cases definition; SIT/UAT exit criteria;
    participate in SIT/UAT, etc. 
  • Monitor and manage projects to
    ensure that the project is on track
  • Regular reporting and
    escalation of the project status to the functional lead of the project

 The
successful candidate MUST HAVE experience in product control within an
investment bank and have had direct experience delivering projects in this
environment.  Candidates who have been
exposed to projects within a line management function will also be considered.

Job Description: 

Due to increased trading activity my client, a Global
Investment Bank has an high-profile new opening for a SVP in Product Control.  The role will
be to lead two large teams supporting the global fixed income business.

 

The role will be a strategic position within Product Control
closely facing the business heads and helping to drive more detailed analytics
from the team to help influence trading strategy.

 

The role will
comprise of, but not be limited to, the following functions:

-        
Managing the workflow of the 20 product controllers

-        
Delivering accurate and timely figures to the business
on a daily and monthly basis

-        
Oversee in-depth analysis of the daily PnL

-        
Maintain swift and accurate substantiation and
reconciliation of the FO:BO figures

-        
Driving the analysis of the PnL to help formulate
trading strategy

-        
Be a major influence in ad-hoc and ongoing projects

-        
Drive continuous process change to ensure the
department stays at the cutting edge

 

Your background:

In order to be successful you must have in-depth experience
of product control and/or risk management from within an Investment Bank.  As an experienced manager you will have a
demonstrable record of strategically leading and developing large teams.  An accountancy qualification and experience
or Fixed Income would also be helpful.
