Our Client is a market leader for global logistic solutions to the petroleum industry.They are seeking a Finance Business Partner with a strong commercial orientation to be responsible for working with the business to optimise returns on current investments, identify strategic opportunities for financial growth, facilitate cost saving initiatives and maximise business profitabilityResponsibilities:

• Work closely with the business areas to thoroughly understand the drivers of performance, challenge decisions, manage performance, set financial targets, analyse data and provide sound financial commentary
• Provide primary quality control over management reporting produced by the finance department and ensure consistency of information with business trends
• Identify ways of growing the business revenue and opportunities for cost saving. Manage implementation and develop financial strategy and policies
• Drive performance management with internal managers, ensure accuracy of management reporting. Identify and address gaps in performance or over spend and agree resolution methods
• Work with the business and create the annual financial planning activities and budgets
• Produce accurate forecasting built around sound commercial assumptions
• Work with planning and finance centres, assist with key business investments, providing support on due diligence, tax, financial analysis etc
• Act as a key member of  the Senior Planning & Finance Team, identify and support implementation of key initiatives to continuously improve services and morale of employees

Requirements:

• Recognised degree in Finance, Business, Marketing or Economics and qualified with a professional financial body, ICAEW/ICPA/ACCA/CIMA/CFA
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a finance support business function within a commercial environment
• Experience of introducing change, working with new financial systems and working across countries and nationalities essential
• Sound knowledge of financial practices, modelling and reporting standards. Strong excel skills
• Highly numerate, proactive and a change facilitator
• Able to work effectively in a matrix organisation
• Oracle experience and Big 4 background highly desirable
